A spirited showing by the boys today who deserved more than the scoreline suggests.

A debut from Jenson Lee at scrum half meant different options for Jordan Nelson at 10 and more game time together will prove fruitful in this area.

Laughlan Campbell coming on at flanker for only his second ever game also showed great spirit and desire.

There were signs during the game that showed how well we can play but ultimately the boys couldn’t keep that up for the entire game.

Again this season we showed promise and skill which, with some further polish has the makings of a great team.

A couple of special mentions for Sam Pulley (hit of the day and biggest grin afterwards) who was the coaches man of the match without any debate!

Jordan Nelson who again showed his true potential and managed the game well.

Jacob Wright, Alexander Parsons and Tom Mooney in the forwards put in a real shift.

In the backs Ciaran Hutchinson at Full Back and Jack Warren (as ever) truly shone out.

We visit Warlingham in 2 weeks for the return fixture where we hope to turn this defeat on its head.

Next a Sunday training we are hoping the First XV will be down to mentor their own positions so a soecisl effort to attend training on Tuesday as well as Sunday please.
