Great performance by the U8’s today at CRFC Festival. We took a squad of 9 with everyone playing at least part of each match. With two sets of back to back matches, the team had a lot of work to do with no breaks in between.
The defence today won the day with at least 3 turnovers in one of the games as the opposition ran out of touches without scoring, allowing us to get the ball and score against the run of play.
Some great defence by Sophie and fast feet around the corners by Alastair scoring the points. Really nice to see great sportsmanship by our sides in returning tags and getting quickly back on side time and time again. Thanks to all those that made it and look forward to festivals in the coming weeks when we can give the others who weren’t there this week a run out
